GOOD NEWS! Brad Boyer was named as a finalist to the 2010 Grassy Hill New Folk Contest @ the Kerrville Folk Festival!!!
Congratulations to the following New Folk Finalists for 2010. These songwriters were chosen from 800 outstanding submissions we received from around the world. Sixteen will play the two songs they submitted on Saturday, May 29 and sixteen on Sunday, May 30 during the New Folk Concerts. This is the 39th year for New Folk and is always one of the highlights of the Kerrville Folk Festival. Click on the picture link for the list of finalists and the date they are scheduled to play:

A message from Matt Harlan
Hey y'all,
I've got GREAT NEWS!! My CD just debuted at #1 on the EuroAmericana Chart . My jaw hit the floor when I saw the list of other artists on the March chart (the latest list isn't posted yet, but it should be in the next few days). Just to give you an idea, the #2 slot is taken by Johnny Cash's latest posthumus release, American VI. :)
While I climb down from cloud nine I wanted to remind y'all that public voting ends March 5 for the Texas Music Awards, where Tips & Compliments is nominated for Album of the Year. Just click the yellow, VOTE HERE button at the top and it's somewhere near the end of the ballot. (Don't forget that fellow Houstonians are up for awards as well: see the HAAM news page for a list)
Things are steadily building recently...I've got some summer mini-tours planned for Utah and Minnesota, getting prepped for another trip to Tennessee at the end of March and I'll be heading to Austin for the SXSW craziness / amazingness in a few weeks. Plus, I've got the ball rolling on a European tour in the fall. Whew!
So, with all that said, I just wanted to say thanks to everybody for supporting me and helping out all along the way. I can't do this stuff without y'all!
